The Barton Basic is a medium scale recliner designed and engineered, prioritizing features, benefits and affordability. The smaller mechanism and tailored upholstery reduce the overall footprint, saving space and increasing recliner mobility. As with the full size Barton, both the grab under space and the slight forward extension of the arm caps provide increased stability and comfort, making entry and exit less stressful. The soft curled-under arm caps also provide patients stress reducing benefits. The front contoured part of the arm increases patient accessibility and exudes softer aesthetics. The arm caps can be fully upholstered, hardwood or polyurethane. The back is formed to provide lumbar support and the purposefully contoured head rest provides lateral head support.
The back rest reclines and inclines via a gas cylinder, locking in any position, activated by a finger clip mounted on the outside arm. The integrated leg rest is activated by pushing back on the arms. A fold down arm is available to facilitate patient transfer and increase patient accessibility. Heating pads are available for the seat and/or back, as well as, moisture barriers. Other options include a hide-a-way foot rest, fold down side tablet, rear grab bar and an IV rod holder. Casters can be either locking, non-locking, swivel or in line. Wood or metal legs are also available.
